Agentenaustausch auf der Glienicker Brücke zwischen West-Berlin und Potsdam, Austausch des sowjetischen Bürgerrechtlers Anatoli Schtscharanski und von drei weiteren Personen gegen Häftlinge aus dem Westen: Francis Meehan, US-Botschafter in der DDR, verabschiedet sich von US-Botschafter Richard Burt, von links: Ludwig Rehlinger, Staatssekretär im Bundesministerium für innerdeutsche Beziehungen, Meehan, Burt, US-Gesandter John Kornblum und Joe Limprecht, Public Safety Officer der Berlin Brigade (ganz rechts)
